The touch-screen remote contronl uses the most recent version of Windows, Windows 7. This was updated in 2009 to work better for touch-screen devices, which will prove to be efficient with the closet's touch-screen remote control. The remote will be using the professional version of Windows 7, which offers the best qualities out of them all of the versions, so that it supports all the features that are involved with the closet and remote. Some features include: Windows Aero (which can quickly search for files), this is best when deciding which outfit to wear, or trying to change an Excel sheet of the washing/drying cycle.

The touch-screen remote will require that the owner create an Administer account. The account will have a username, password, and picture that the owner can identify with in order to log in. The owner will be able to create more than one account. These accounts are created for the purpose of security and privacy from others.

The touch-screen remote control comes installed with Norton AntiVirus software. This software is installed to prevent the remote from being attacked from viruses. The remote is able to connect to the internet, and this software ensures navigation to safe sites and prevents pop-ups.
